At Disability Connect, our volunteers play a vital role in supporting disabled people and their families to live the lives they choose.
Why volunteer with us?
Volunteering with Disability Connect is a chance to:

Our volunteers help us deliver events that bring connection, information, and joy to the disability community.
We have two main opportunities where you can get involved:
Transition Expo
Our annual Transition Expo held each September is our biggest event, supporting young disabled people and their families to explore education, employment, and community options post school. Volunteers help with:

- Event set-up and pack down
- Welcoming and guiding attendees
- Providing information and general support during the event

Volunteers play an important role in making the day accessible and welcoming for everyone.
Christmas Party
Our Christmas Party is a special event for families who attend our support groups during the year and is usually held in November. Volunteers support with:
- Setting up activities and decorations
- Assisting with food preparation and clean up
- Helping families enjoy the day
- Assisting with craft or other activities
- Packing down after the event
These events create fun, inclusive spaces where families can connect and celebrate together.
