Professional Experience

Jess was born in Southeast Asia, the Philippines and has a background and qualification in Information Technology – Software Development. She has redirected her pathway to supporting families of neurodivergent and disabled children and is currently continuing her master’s studies in Advanced Behavioural Analysis. She is running monthly Parent Support/Social Group sessions for migrant families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds who are supporting disabled children. These sessions are on a range of topics to reduce information gaps, enhance social connections, and improve well-being and emotional support for families who often lack social and family support in New Zealand. Jess is also a mother of a neurodivergent son diagnosed at 4 years old in 2017.
